COMMON QUERIES
WHAT IS SYSTEMIC THERAPY?
Systemic Therapy looks at the contexts, systems and stories that create our social worlds. It moves away from an individualistic approach and looks at our relationships with people and the world around us. I chose to study Systemic Therapy because I was drawn to its focus on hopefulness, improving communication and relationships  and a non-blaming approach.
The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy has a useful summary on their website:

HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE?
I offer hourly therapy sessions via Zoom online. These sessions can happen weekly, fortnightly or monthly, depending on your preference and circumstance. In person sessions in South-East London can also be arranged, although the venue may sometimes incur an extra cost.
HOW MANY SESSIONS SHOULD I HAVE?
This really depends on you, what your preference and budget is, and the reasons for wanting to attend therapy. We can discuss this in our first free 20 minute consultation. I would usually suggest six sessions and then we would review together but there is never any pressure to continue- it's up to you!
DO YOU OFFER SLIDING SCALE RATES?
If you are in financial hardship please get in touch to discuss options.
